I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
